Spooky might be the star of the season, but we’re also keeping an eye on the quieter things: a local real estate shift, a college ranking update, and a beautiful art event that brings people together.

Life here is full of contrast: sweet, sometimes loud but mostly wonderfully lovely.
This newsletter aims to capture all of it.

🍷 Ghouls Just Wanna Have Wine

Image

2142 3rd St, La Verne, CA

Third Street Wine Shop, downtown La Verne’s coziest little haunt, is celebrating Halloween in true sip-worthy style. From Oct. 30–Nov. 1, swing by for their “Little Wine Shop of Horrors” event and treat yourself to a Spooky Trio tasting: three devilishly good pours paired with seasonal bites.

Then on Oct. 31, grab a seat on the porch, raise your glass, and watch the costumed chaos of trick-or-treaters parade by. It’s festive, friendly, and frightfully fun. Learn more here

👻 A Halloween night that feels like home

Image

522 W 1st St, Claremont, CA

Studio Claremont has a way of turning art into connection. Run by sisters Nicole and Marbella, the Latina-owned studio hums with energy: paintbrushes clinking, kids giggling, parents chatting in the corner.

This Halloween, they’re hosting a pottery-painting movie marathon from 4–8 PM, complete with classic spooky flicks and a cozy creative buzz. Come as you are, costume or not; it’s the kind of night Claremont does best. Learn more here.

The candy bowls are almost empty and the leaves are falling, but the real estate market’s still full of surprises! Around Glendora, La Verne, San Dimas, and Claremont, homes are fewer but prices are climbing; and that mix is opening quiet opportunities for thoughtful buyers and sellers.
