🏮 California Botanic Garden Lights Up with Luminarias
The Gist: Paper bag lanterns filled with sand and votives will illuminate the pathways at California Botanic Garden from December 5-20. The popular six-night event in Claremont features live music, art displays, and festive refreshments alongside the glowing luminaria displays.
Why It Matters: It's one of the few places in California where you can experience this traditional Southwestern holiday display without traveling to New Mexico or Arizona. Tickets are $21 for adults, $16 for students/seniors/children, and advance booking is required due to popularity.
✈️ Southwest Soon To Add Daily Ontario-to-Honolulu Flights
The Gist: Southwest will add a new daily nonstop route from Ontario International Airport to Honolulu starting June 4, 2026. The morning flights will use Boeing 737 MAX 8 jets, with return trips from Honolulu each evening. Southwest joins Alaska Airlines on this popular route as Ontario continues expanding its travel options.
Why It Matters:Foothills neighbors who prefer Ontario’s easy parking and shorter lines now have a smoother path to Hawaii. Tickets are expected to roll out as the launch date gets closer.
