The Gist: San Dimas has a new Metro stop, giving residents an easier way to reach downtown Los Angeles and nearby hubs while enjoying walkable access to restaurants, cafés, and shops right by the station. City leaders say the project blends transit with a lively downtown feel, encouraging eco-friendly commuting and supporting local businesses.

The Gist: Claremont Unified’s board has signed off on a new deal with the teachers union, ending a year of negotiations. The agreement provides a 1% raise for teachers, specialists, counselors, nurses, and other staff, plus extra bumps for child development leaders and adult school teachers. Upper management, including the superintendent, will also see 1% retroactive raises.

Why It Matters: The raises, totaling about $592,000 this year, aim to better support educators while keeping programs funded across the district. The deal runs through 2027-28, with yearly reopeners for pay and benefits talks. Read more here.
