You may have noticed things look a little different around here. We recently switched to a new newsletter tool to make things easier on our end, and it gave us a good excuse to freshen up the design too. The content is still the same kind of stuff you’re used to, but the new format lets us make the newsletter a little cleaner, more visual, and more fun to read. Be sure to check out the featured home section, we're pretty proud of it! |
🚗 A highway delivery in San Dimas! The Gist: Late in the night on August 27, 2026, expectant parents were forced to pull their SUV over near Via Verde Drive and the 57 Freeway when labor progressed too fast for a hospital run. Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel from Station 141 responded around 12:12 a.m. to help load the mother and her wrapped newborn into an ambulance. By 12:35 a.m., the family arrived safely at a nearby hospital. Why It Matters: Highway deliveries are rare, but first responders are always ready to step in when nature takes over. It is a sweet bit of good news for San Dimas to know everyone made it through healthy, proving that even a freeway roadside can turn into a cozy birthplace.
🚲 Big vision for walkable, bike-friendly streetsThe Gist: Glendora’s People Movement Project has reached a major milestone, unveiling its final (100%) design plans for a safer, better-connected city. The $36.6 million initiative combines a 10-mile trail network with key upgrades along Foothill Boulevard and Glendora Avenue. Designed to link the Metro A Line Glendora Station directly to Glendora Village, Citrus College, and nearby neighborhoods, the city is opening the floor for resident feedback. Why It Matters: By connecting transit hubs directly to local spots, the project breathes new life into plans over a decade in the making to protect pedestrians and support neighboring businesses. What's Next: Drop by the Bidwell Forum (140 S. Glendora Ave) tonight, September 10, 2026, anytime between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM to view the design plans and speak directly with city staff. The project will then head back to the Glendora City Council for further discussion on September 22, 2026.
