We’ve been thinking a lot about what makes a strong community feel even stronger. Sharing local events and news is a start, but we’re dreaming a little bigger. What if we made it easier for folks to actually meet, eat, and connect?

So we’ve been cooking up an idea: the Foothills Dinner Club. Picture six locals gathered around a table, sharing good food and great conversation. The Gist: San Dimas High School’s Homecoming Parade rolls through downtown this Friday, October 17. The parade runs from 3:30 to 4 p.m., starting at Iglesia and heading south to Bonita Avenue before finishing at Monte Vista. Streets along the route will be closed from 2 to 5 p.m., with deputies and school staff guiding traffic.

The Gist: In a heartfelt tribute to family and school, Claremont High sophomore Dominic Sink unveiled a brand-new Gaga ball pit on the Condit Elementary playground as his Eagle Scout project. Decades earlier, his father James had painted his alma mater’s auditorium for his own Eagle project. With three generations of Sinks connected to Condit (including two as teachers), the gift is deeply personal.
